With the end of the Google Earth plugin and no sign from Google to open up their new WebGL renderer, GEFS was doomed.
CesiumJS was considered the best alternative and after some testing became a viable replacement.
Cesium is backed by an active community and has a bright future.
GEFS was quickly migrated in order to beat the end of the plugin, so some things may still have to be improved.
I would be glad if you could report bugs and problems in a constructive manner on the bug report forum
I will keep working on finalizing the migration and hopefully keeping on improving GEFS.

I would like to say thank you for all the work. I am really enjoying this.
Also on my behalf: thank you for all your work.
Can you insert ILS to this
The buildings in major cities like LA, London, Paris do not pop up in 3D, is there now a setting I'm missing?
At the moment, Cesium does not support 3D buildings. However, the Cesium community has stated that this'll be coming soon.
Now that GEFS has migrated to Cesium, it can support mobile browsers, right? Well, wouldn't this be an excellent time to think about creating an 'actual' mobile flight simulator app for Apple and Android? I mean, you have an environment which already supports mobile devices. I think that if you went ahead with this, you would be the first to provide full Earth imagery on mobile. None of the others can do this yet. This could be the best in what appears to be a growing market.
Please let me know what you think. I would love to see this happen.
Did you try gefs-online.com on your mobile? ;)
Are 3d buildings will be back or better and more technological and realistic
Yes,the buttons are tiny
Yes does it enables viruses on my zte cellphone
Or not??!
the map is not loading properly
What does the C mean in 1.1c?
And why did the new one actually REPLACE the old one instead of just adding?
Where can I still use 1.1c?
The C stands for Cesium and is added to the version number since the migration from the Google Earth Plugin. 1.1c is not accessible anymore. 1.0 (old version based on Google Earth) is still available at http://old.gefs-online.com . Please note that the Google Earth plugin is deprecated and only works on a few browsers.
Thank you for letting me know.
The new one is actually better, but the user interface has a flat, unusual design. But I will probably get used to it very quickly.
The new one runs without flash and earth plugin. I am VERY glad about that. Good work!
I actually use YSFlight on low-end computers, and FlightGear on high-end, but GEFS works instantly and requires no installation.
