I just published a maintenance release (0.8.1). Nothing fancy but a few bugs ironed out:
- Fixed the wind "always on" bug
- Reverted prop wash (was buggy)
- Fixed some aircraft flight characteristics (DC3, Heli) to restore stability.
- Fixed keyboard focus problem on Chrome
- Updated flight model in general
- Trying out a new sound engine
- And a few others things...
As I also updated some javascript libraries, you will be prompted that your preferences are reset (I am sorry, I had no other way)

I personally liked the old engine sound better, the new one is too high pitched and makes the planes sound toyish. Please change back to the old engine sound.

Just awesome flying the A380 but keeps banking to the left and won't fly straight for very long. Please fix this minor bug and you'll have one very happy flyer! :-D

I have another suggestion. It would be nice to put the map on a separate screen if one play's with two screens only.
And I tried to play with the right screen but I cant understand why the picture is at 90 deg. It would be nice to get an extended view tough.

As always, awesome work! Thank you so much for this game. With practice I'm getting better each time. Managed to carry out successful landings of the SU-35 on the carrier and managed to land the Sports single engine craft on the carrier using the movie-follow cam. Proud as punch!
Just curious, will the Goodyear Blimp be added to GEFS?

Can you make the plane fly straight not even up and down when we leave the comtrols.and can you make a search destination option and when we click on a runway we see tafe off from and fly by can you make a option set destination and i liked the old engines sounds new ones are pretty bad and i hate that thing unable to save prefences.prefendes are reset to default.plz set this plz.

I really think it'd be cool to have some regional jets... yes like the 757 above^.
Maybe adding a few types, such as 737, a320, and a Q400 for instance. Really there are endless combinations of planes you could add. (and I do like that Delta 757)
Anyone else think it would add a lot to this simulator? Because there are already fighters, jumbos, helicopters, gliders, and even a balloon!

Hey Xaiver! Thanks a lot for making GEFS. In my opinion, GEFS is the BEST online flight simulator! I love the details. That is the only flight simulator that is actually realistic. It also gives you complete control of the aircraft and gives you 100% freedom. I just wanted to ask you if you can add fuel onto the planes and so as you fly, you have a limited amount of fuel for extra realism. Since not everyone might like that, you can add that mode in the options. Also I noticed that if you shut your engines down, your speed remains at an ok speed instead of loosing a lot of airspeed like in real life... Sorry if I wrote too much but this is the last thing, can you add failures like a dual engine flame-out or fire on board or in the engines? You don't have to do anything I say but I just wanted to throw it out there. It is still my favorite game. :)
I agree with you. That would be cool and it would also be cool if you could have landing lights on the plane. :)

can u add the su-29,47 and 31? i mean we gotta admit russia makes awesome fighters and aerobatic planes! and for the amercians the f-35, its coming in 2013 but its pretty epic, u can search maybe for it, its got a VTOL version for the navy and THATS epic, and please WHY ONLY FEW PEOPLE WANT THE SR-71, and yes i agree WWI and WWII fighters will be good, like p-47 and p-51 and spitfire, thanks xavier

Hi Xavier! Its Westjet, I was playing multiplayer and then all the sudden the chat stopped working and I couldnt see other planes! plz help O_O

Hey this is Qatar Airways 1 (in the game) can i just say that i've got mutiplayer on however it wont let me see people same goes with the talk and when is the next GEFS update? please go to GEFS. There are a lot a bad bugs that slow your computer down please sort this and when i'm using the Airbus A380, when i'm trying to keeep it still it suddenly starts rolling dramatically to left
Qatar Airways 1 again here is some ideas for the game:
Maybe you can make new planes such as the Boeing 787, or the B-52 and maybe you can add more military planes such as the spitfire. Maybe you can try to add more options for the plane such as switchign ONLY one engine off not all of them like in real life and Did you ( Xaiver) make the game.
Again you might want to check the game out and probably add a vote off sign because some people like Mistwalker spam the page again and again and again. There are many imposters in the game it's so annoying. Please think of somethign to sort the 2 problems out.

hello its me and i would like to know when 1.0 is out and i would like a better cockpit with buttons what actually work and i would like the 787 in the Thomson livery. also im bored of the A380 because its really slow and if u change it to a 747 it would be easyer to do flights. also people are now making airlines with proper websites, it would be good if when u got to http://www.gefs-online.com/gefs.php it will say; what plane would you like, what then you will be able to choose livery. ok people may now see me on gefs as Royal Cargo team SA. ok i hope you will go on gefs because its awesome ok i will now go and i will also be checking the blog to find if you have replied to me.

Please fix this glitch i found! I loaded the simulator and all i got was the plane's shadow, but the controls are fine. I'm using Mozilla Firefox on Windows 7.
